Do You Remember Morph?
Hands up who remembers Morph? You don’t!!??? Where have you been for the last 30 years?
Morph was the lovable plastacine character from Take Hart and SMart, Morph first hit our screens in 1977 with Tony Hart featuring in Take Hart. Morph was a cult character in the shows, and even briefly in the early 80’s had his own show called ‘The Amazing Adventures of Morph’.
Morph appeared in short minute long snippets interspersed within the main show, originally the clips solely starred Morph, but Morph was later joined by the mischevious Chas. Morph and Chas lived in an artists wooden pencil box. Morph communicated by speaking gobbledegook, but expressed most of his feelings and emotions via hand motions and body language.
Morph was created for the shows, by the world famous Aardman Animations, creators of Wallace and Gromit, sadly some of the early Morph models were destroyed in the fire at Aardman Animations Warehouse in October 2005, along with many other Aardman models, however if you are a budding artist or sculptor, you can now create your own unique morph character with the make your own Morph model kit, available along with hundreds of other Gifts and Gadgets to purchase via their interactive online shop.
